Continuum International takes your privacy seriously. We are committed to keeping the personal information of our relocating customers as well as, their spouses, partners, dependents or other household members (“Transferees”) accurate, secure and private. We have adopted this General Privacy Policy to ensure that we continue to meet our commitment to your privacy. Our General Privacy Policy describes what information we gather and how we collect, protect and use that information. This General Privacy Policy also describes how you can correct, change or delete your information. Continuum International is committed to complying with GDPR.

This General Privacy Policy applies to Continuum International as a company and to our website www.continuumrelo.com, which is hosted on our server located in Danbury, CT USA.

Our relocation tracking system, Assignment Pro and Move Star is hosted by on our servers based in Danbury, CT. in the US. You have the right to request your personal information to be deleted by contacting delete@continuumrelo.com.

How we collect and use information

“Personal Information” means information that can be used to identify an individual. We may collect and use Personal Information including your name, telephone number, address and email address, employment information, as well as other identifying information. We only collect information which is necessary for us to assist with your relocation. The data we hold about you enables us to provide destination and relocation services to you.

We collect Personal Information about you when you communicate with us via our secure portal, over the phone, by email, text or mail. We also may collect Personal Information about you from your employer or other third parties such as our suppliers who provide services to you. The Personal Information collected will be used only to communicate with you and to help us provide relocation services to you in accordance with our client agreements. As necessary for these purposes, we may share your Personal Information with third parties (such as moving companies /furniture rental companies/destination consultants/settling in agents, school search agencies and real estate brokers and agents, et al.) for the sole purpose of aiding your relocation process. You have the right to opt out of any use of your Personal Information that is incompatible with the purposes for which we originally collected it or that you subsequently authorized.

We sometimes engage and coordinate third party suppliers to provide our relocation services to you. To facilitate the delivery of our services, we use suppliers in many countries throughout the world. The location of the suppliers that will assist us in providing services to you will depend on the particulars of your relocation
assignment. These suppliers are given access only to the Personal Information, if any, that is needed to provide the specific service for which we contract them to provide. They are contractually bound to protect the confidentiality and security of your Personal
Information. They must agree to limit the use of your Personal Information for the purpose intended in providing the service and are prohibited from doing anything with your Personal Information that we have not authorized them to do. They are required to treat your Personal Information in a manner consistent with this General Privacy Policy.

We do not sell Personal Information about you to anyone, nor do we permit any of our suppliers to do so. We will retain your Personal Information only as long as necessary to provide you with our services or as required by our contractual arrangements, data retention policies, or by legal requirements.

How to correct/keep your personal information up-to-date

We are committed to keeping your Personal information accurate and up-to-date. If you are a current customer and your Personal information have changed, such as your address, telephone number, email address. You may contact us to update your information. To request access to your Personal Information and/or to correct or update it, please use the contact information provided in below. We will act in good faith and take reasonable steps to comply with your request.

Security

We restrict access to your Personal Information only to those of our employees, agents, and suppliers who have a “need to know” and based on the services they or we are providing to you. We maintain reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. Our external suppliers and others that we do business with are contractually bound to us to provide at least the same level of privacy protection and security as is required by this Privacy Policy. We regularly review our security standards and procedures as well as those of our suppliers to protect against unauthorized disclosure or use of or access to your Personal Information.

Changes to Our General Privacy Policy

As and when privacy legislation changes Continuum International will update our privacy policy accordingly. Our General Privacy Policy has been updated and is effective immediately.

SCHEDULE A

PERSONAL DATA DEFINITIONS AND GDPR REQUIREMENTS FOR DATA HANDLING

Under the GDPR, the data protection principles set out the main responsibilities for organizations. Article 5 of the GDPR requires that personal data shall be:
a) processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to individuals;

b) collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes; further processing for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes shall not be considered to be incompatible with the initial purposes;

c) adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed;

d) accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date; every reasonable step must be taken to ensure that personal data that are inaccurate, having regard to the purposes for which they are processed, are erased or rectified without delay;

e) kept in a form which permits identification of individuals for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed; personal data may be stored for longer periods insofar as the personal data will be processed solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes subject to implementation of the appropriate technical and organisational measures required by the GDPR in order to safeguard the rights and freedoms of individuals; and

f) processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organizational measures.”
